I’ll give DeCaprio credit for knowing how to choose a good script. One of
today’s better screen actors.

Picture Brando trying to be Maxim DeWinter or Heathcliff in Wuthering
Heights. I shudder to imagine how awful it would be. Nuff said.

Most of the actors in that list are all under the fifties ! Where is the
new generation ?! What about Adam Brody, Leonardo Di Caprio, Ben Affleck,
Tom Hanks … ? 65th place for Clint Eastwood and 20th for Sir Anthony
Hopkins, nonsense ! Both should be in TOP 10 !

There are more actors from the earlier times because they have had more
time to make an influence on other actors including the “new generation”.
That is one big factor for this list.

Did you really watch all those 18 films to say that the performances are
bad? (yes, you named 18, not 20. I double-checked)

Birdy, Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Wild at heart, Honeymoon in vegas, Red
Rock West, It could happen to you, Leaving Las Vegas, Adaption, Face/Off,
The Rock, Matchstick Men, Lord of War, Bad lieutenant : Port of call, Kick
Ass all good films with good or great performances from him, 2 of which
have had him nominated for an Oscar and winning once, these are only the
films I have seen so they’re maybe more, I would of put a 2 others but you
already put them in your bad performances.

what the fuck happened to the great billy crystal

Okay, so he chose many bad movies in his career and thus majority of his
filmography are shit. So what? Even the greatest actors couldn’t make
anything out of Ghost Rider’s script. Look at Daniel Day-Lewis – he’s
considered to be one of the greatest actors still working (and I totally
agree with that), because he’s been choosing such a good films. Cage’s
choices’ve been a “little” worse than that, but if he gets good script
(vide “Leaving LV” or “Wild at Heart”) he makes a wonderful performance.
